Promotion at the end of the academic year is determined by a holistic evaluation of attendance, continuous assessment performance, year-round coursework, and the students overall conduct record.
Students must attend full-day classes; they are not permitted to attend school solely to write an assessment. Parents are requested not to send sick wards to school for the purpose of writing a test.
Unit tests and class tests are vital for tracking student progress. Answer scripts will be shown to students and guardians, and students are expected to enter their marks in the designated columns of their school calendar.
There is no provision for supplementary tests for students who are absent for any assessment, unit test, or class test.
Students must secure a passing grade in all subjects. Furthermore, it is compulsory to pass in Value Education, English, and SUPW/Community Service.
Internal assessments and projects are conducted strictly on scheduled days; no exceptions will be made, and defaulters may be awarded a zero in that subject.
ISC students are permitted to utilize calculators during class and examinations.
Failure to appear in any assessment can significantly jeopardize a student’s academic progress and promotion.
Examinees must strictly adhere to examination regulations and maintain decorum inside and outside the examination room.
The use of unfair means will result in the immediate cancellation of the paper and the student will be awarded a zero. Students found giving or obtaining unfair assistance will be debarred from the examination.
Possession of any book, pocketbook, notes, or paper during an examination may lead to suspension or dismissal, depending on the severity of the offense as judged by the Principal.
Students found guilty of premeditated cheating will be issued a Transfer Certificate (TC) at the end of the school year.
There is no arrangement for "re-examination" or "promotion on trial".
Any student failing two years in succession in the same class, or failing twice in three consecutive years, will have his/her name struck off the rolls and will be granted a Transfer Certificate.
A pupil failing in their class at the end of the year will not remain on the school rolls unless the parent/guardian notifies the Principal in advance of their wish for the ward to continue.
In all matters regarding promotion or failure, the Principal’s decision is final and binding.
The Half-Yearly progress report is published exclusively in the school app, and parents are responsible for printing these reports themselves.
Progress reports must be collected by parents on the stipulated day.
Any overwriting on the report card is considered a breach of discipline.
Any discrepancies in the recorded marks must be brought to the notice of the Class Teacher in writing within three working days of the report card being published.
Parents are advised to maintain a file of all hard-copy progress reports for their records, as these are vital documents for future academic transfers.
